History and origin
The issue of environment is undoubtedly closely related to the issue of waste and particularly to the issue of packaging. Each of us knows it quite well – nature and streets polluted by scattered cardboard boxes and plastic bottles.
In order to avoid this unsatisfactory situation the European Union prepared a basic regulation on packaging waste (Directive 94/62/EC), the objective of which was to create conditions for environmental protection in the European Union. Based on this fact Slovakia has adopted Act No. 529/2002 Coll. and Act No. 409/2006 Coll. (in Slovak)implementing the EC Directive in the Slovak legislation. Thus a new system was created that enabled obliged persons to meet their statutory obligations to collect, separate and recycle packaging waste either individually or through authorized organizations.
The experience of EU countries clearly showed that the majority of obliged persons were not able to meet their obligations to collect, separate and recycle packaging waste individually, but only through an authorized organization.
With respect to the given facts several obliged persons decided, in cooperation with major recycling companies (Vetropack Nemsova s.r.o., Smurfit Kappa Sturovo a.s.,etc.), to establish the authorized organization NATUR-PACK, a.s.
NATUR-PACK, a.s. was incorporated on February 16, 2006 upon its registration in the Slovak Companies Register. Under the Packaging Act, it became an authorized organization upon its registration in the Obliged Persons and Authorized Organizations Register kept by the Slovak Ministry of Environment.
A Certificate of the Slovak Ministry of Environment of registering NATUR-PACK, a.s. as an authorized organization in the Obliged Persons and Authorized Organizations Register was issued.

NATUR-PACK, a.s. is a member of Slovak Association of Commerce and Tourism, Entepreneurs Association of Slovakia, Food Chamber of Slovaka and Association of Entrepreneurs in Waste Management.
