From August 1^st till October 6^th 2008, the Slovak Environmental Inspection Agency has been performing an in-depth audit in NATUR-PACK, a.s. with focus on meeting of authorized organization obligations as stipulated in the legal Act No. 529/2002 Coll. on Packaging.

The inspection has been carried out upon a request by the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic to check observance of the binding limits for packaging waste reprocessing and recycling in 2006 and 2007.

The inspection has concluded with the following result:

“The entity subject to inspection has met the binding limits for obliged entities – contractual clients, both in 2006 and 2007, for all commodities, in accordance with Section 8 subs.2 of the legal act on Packaging in connection to NV SR No. 220/2005 Coll.“

As the inspection also suggested, NATUR-PACK, a.s. has ensured compliance with the binding limits for packaging waste reprocessing and recycling mainly through material recycling. NATUR-PACK, a.s. informs consumers about the methods of packaging waste collection through its website in accordance with the law.

The inspection also revealed one shortcoming pertaining to a failure to notify the Registry of Obliged Entities and Authorized Organizations kept by the Ministry of Environment of the SR of a change in the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board of NATUR-PACK, a.s.. NATUR-PACK, a.s. has rectified this shortcoming on February 23, 2007.
