The phenomenon of so-called brand hijacking – paid advertising for another brand name – is nothing new in the world. However, it is still not widely discussed in Slovakia.
Strong brands in individual segments are increasingly facing the fact that competitors are purposefully buying their name as part of online advertising. The goal is one thing – to attract potential customers to their website, even at the cost of misleading them. 💰🔍 Although this is a relatively transparent trick, it evokes negative emotions in many users from the first contact with the advertising company. Trust is not built on lies.
The NATUR-PACK producer responsibility organisation has become the target of such action since the beginning of 2025. The reaction? As always – creative. 🎥 The NATUR-PACK team decided to respond to unfair practices with its most powerful tool – video production, which traditionally brings educational and valuable content. 👏
