The NATUR-PACK team, together with our partners from OLO (the city waste collection company) and the City of Bratislava, took part in an international project organized by the Slovak Environment Agency (SAŽP) in October 2025.
As part of the project, we presented the Slovak system of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), using Bratislavaas a practical example of how the system works in the capital city.
The event welcomed guests from Belarus, Moldova, and Georgia.
There was a lot to talk about — and we were happy to share our experience, insights, and lessons learned on topics such as:
- the responsibilities of Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs),
- the obligations of producers within the EPR system,
- contracting processes between producers, collection companies, and municipalities,
- financing of separate waste collection,
- achieving recycling targets,
- and areas where we see room for improvement in Slovakia.
We sincerely thank the organizers for the invitation to this inspiring project and for the opportunity to share our expertise. A special thank-you goes to OLO — not only for co-presenting and sharing valuable experience, but also for hosting the event in the beautiful premises of Bratislava’s reuse centre KOLO.
