NATUR-PACK is celebrating 20 years of operation this year – two decades of systematic work during which we have step by step built a functional and stable system of separate municipal waste collection in Slovakia.
The fact that we are now ranked among the leaders of the Slovak market would not have been possible without the long-term trust, cooperation, and responsible approach of thousands of companies which, as our clients, play a decisive role in financing and developing the separate collection system. Thanks to them, the system can operate, grow, and deliver real results.

Development of the number of clients over time
The level of separate collection in Slovakia has been improving for two decades, but a significant shift occurred after 2016, when the principle of extended producer responsibility was introduced. This system has confirmed that when producers take responsibility for the waste generated by their products, it benefits municipalities, citizens, and the environment alike.

Long-term development of the municipal waste recycling rate
From the very beginning, our story has been built on partnerships. Together with our clients, partner municipalities, collection companies, and other cooperating organizations, we have created a system based on expertise, fair principles, and mutual respect.
Over the past 20 years, we have shown together that a stable and long-term sustainable system can only be built where strong relationships and shared values exist.
At the same time, we have long strived for the fairest possible system, in which all companies obliged to co-finance separate collection contribute financially. In just the past ten years, we have brought approximately 4,000 companies under the umbrella of extended producer responsibility that had previously avoided their obligations or – which is the most common case – were not even aware of them. In this way, we significantly contribute to fair conditions in the business environment.

Development of the municipal waste landfilling rate
We have also become a leader in educating both the general public and professionals. We are aware of the crucial importance of public awareness about waste, sorting, and waste prevention, as well as knowledge of legislative obligations for companies and producers. Without education, there can be no long-term sustainable system.
We believe that in the years ahead, we will continue this cooperation and jointly develop solutions that support the circular economy and contribute to a sustainable future for Slovakia.
Thank you to everyone who is on this journey with us.
We are convinced that together we can contribute more, better, and more responsibly to environmental protection.
