Over the past 20 years, Slovakia has made significant progress in the sorting and recycling of municipal waste – also in comparison with other European countries. In the past, we regularly ranked at the very “tail” of Europe in Eurostat rankings and lagged behind countries such as Hungary and Bulgaria, while the results of more developed countries seemed unattainable for us. Today, the situation is different – Slovakia has already risen above the European average and currently ranks among the TOP 10 EU countries (9th place). We believe this result can improve even further.

Also this year, on behalf of our clients – producers of packaging, non-packaging products, electrical equipment, batteries and accumulators – we fulfilled all obligations arising from legislation. Within the legally stipulated deadline, we submitted to the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic the reports pursuant to Section 27(4)(h) of Act No. 79/2015 Coll. on Waste, for the year 2025.
